Link is below. Nintendo is warning gamers of potentially more severe eye fatigue than “2d” games. I’ve actually been wondering about the fatigue that I tend to feel when watcing a 3d movie (and not just the one time I wore the wrong glasses)- entertainment technology marches forth, but are people actually equipped for it? There are reports of heightened cancer risk from cellular phones being held to our ears. Perhaps this is just a different category of fatigue, as I can remember getting “gamer’s thumb” from console games. But one has to wonder, with such connections between our nervous systems, perceptive functions, and neurophysical responses, if a new field should emerge: ergonomics for entertainment? Ergotainment? Someone should copyright that.
